The many reality shows we see on television have treated us to a large number of children who showcase truly amazing talent. There is something about seeing a little one display more talent than most adults that the public finds irresistible.
Giorgia Borg is a ten-year-old singer from Britain. She is also the latest young one to demonstrate the fact that age is nothing but a number while performing on Britain’s Got Talent.Giorgia appeared to be the typical young girl when she strolled onto the stage to face the four judges. She wore a t-shirt with a glitter heart on the front of it and her ponytail was adorned with a scrunchie.
One of the judges asked the girl about her song selection. She informed the judges she would perform an original selection entitled ‘Ten.’ Giorgia explains the song is about parents who do not fully consider the thoughts and words of their children because they are so young.
She laughed a little while making it clear her own parents were not the subject of the song. The jaws of all four judges dropped as soon as the little girl began to sing. The singing voice and vocal range of the young girl was something for which they were unprepared. In addition to Georgia’s voice, the song lyrics and arrangement of the song were sensational.
Giorgia’s audition only got better as she continued to perform. Once the ten-year-old girl was finished, the four judges and all audience members took to their feet and gave her a standing ovation.
The judges begin to give their assessment of the performance one at a time. But one judge, Alesha, lost her patience with the process and pressed the Golden Buzzer. The gratitude and shock on Giorgia’s face was a sight to behold. Her parents, who were waiting backstage, shared a hug before joining their daughter onstage for a group hug. Giorgia’s parents also had a hug to share with Alesha.
The spirit and confidence shown by Giorgia during her performance make it a must see. Fortunately, anyone who missed Giorgia’s performance live can enjoy the video below as many times as they like.
